We guess we never noticed how much Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson looked alike. But is it possible that they are actually related to each other? They seem to think so and have recently announced that they're going to take a DNA test to determine if there really is a biological connection.
The news was shared on TikTok by content creator Kyle Marisa Roth (@thekylemarisa) in a video that's now been watched over 2.3 million times.

The TikToker explained that the two have vowed to take the tests because they believe they might be "half-brothers."
According to People, McConaughey confirmed the rumor while speaking with Kelly Ripa on her podcast Let's Talk off Camera with Kelly Ripa. He explained that they've even decided on a joint project together called Brother from Another Mother.
"Where I start and where he ends and where he starts and I end has always been a murky line, and that's part of our bromance, right?" he said. "My kids call him Uncle Woody, his kids call me Uncle Matthew."
The two also look strikingly similar - so much so that their families often get old photos of them confused.
"My family thinks a lot of pictures of him are me, his family thinks a lot of pictures of me are him," McConaughey explained.

But it all came to a head when they were in Greece a few years ago.
"We're sitting around talking about how close we are and our families and et cetera and my mom is there. And she says, 'Woody, I knew your dad,'" McConaughey recalled.
As Roth described it on TikTok, McConaughey's mom was allegedly a bit of a "woman around town" and Harrelson's father, Charles Harrelson, was an "infamous hitman."
"Then, there's possible receipts placing them out in West Texas where there might have been a gathering or a meeting or a 'knew' moment," McConaughey added to Ripa, before adding that he and Harrelson are on the "precipice" of doing a DNA test to determine if they are biologically related.
"It's a little easier for Wood to say 'come on, let's do it,' because what's the skin in it for him?" McConaughey explained. "It's a little harder for me because he's asking me to take the chance to go 'wait a minute, you're telling me my dad may not be my dad of 53 years' and believe in it? I got a little more skin in the game."
Here's hoping that they both get the answers they're looking for.
