Queen Máxima of the Netherlands posed for a snap with a royal fan during a visit to a clothing store today.

The Dutch royal, 52, donned a vibrant lime green dress as she visited the Zeeman clothing store alongside State Secretary Vivianne Heijnen this afternoon.

The Queen appeared in high spirits, beaming as she joined in a selfie with a follower who was ecstatic to have met the monarch.

Meanwhile she could also be seen inspecting clothes garments and textiles during the outing today.

It marked the mother-of-three's first appearance in the country since returning from her official state visit to Belgium earlier this week.

The royal wore her make-up minimal with her blonde hair swept elegantly back for the visit today.

She was seen chatting with staff members of the store today, and could be seen studying rails of clothing.

It's been a busy period for Máxima, who has spent much of the past week in Belgium for a state visit with her husband Willem-Alexander.

Yesterday she appeared with her husband, plus King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium at Imec, a digital company in Leuven.

She looked sensational in a striking red dress from Natan, which she also wore on her Caribbean tour earlier this year.

She accompanied the silk crepe dress with an elaborate broach and earrings.

Her Dutch counterpart Queen Mathilde, 50, also donned a similar bright colour, looking fabulous in orange.

She wore an elaborate hat and beamed throughout the event.

The foursome spent this third day in the city of Leuven in central Belgian, east of Brussels.

There they visited Imec, a research centre specialising in chip technology that supports companies developing digital applications.

They met with the CEO - and from there moved onto Antwerp for a walk of the  Royal Museum of Fine Arts (KMSKA).

The museum contains a collection representing seven centuries of art and has been recently renovated.

They will then host a meeting on the theme of youth unemployment.

The Queen and her husband have been living the high life on their trip.

Previously King Phillippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium hosted a state dinner for the visiting royal couple.

As she arrived for the occasion in Brussels, Máxima looked sensational in a one-shouldered pleated gold gown.

The sophisticated dress had a short train and was cinched in at the waist with a glistening belt.

Off-setting the tone of her gown, Máxima wore a chunky diamond necklace with a large amber pendant.

The royal styled her blonde hair in loose waves and opted for her signature brown smokey eye.

Braving the 24 degree heat this evening, Máxima carried a small white fan and finished off her outfit with a square gold clutch bag.

Meanwhile, Queen Mathilde, opted for a glistening silver floor-length gown with floral appliques.

The European royal swept her hair into a chic up-do and wore a pretty floral diamond necklace.

What's more, both King Phillipe and King Willem-Alexander looked dapper in black tuxedos for the occasion.

It comes as both Queen Máxima and Queen Mathilde twinned in floral dresses as they attended the Climate Tech Forum.

Both queens looked typically glamorous as they stopped to chat at the cafe in the Serre d'hiver.

Queen Mathilde looked chic in a green floral ensemble which she paired with a dusty pink hat.

She completed her ensemble with matching pink heels, gloves and a leather clutch bag.

Máxima's stylish gown featured a colourful pattern and was paired with a sophisticated matching hat.

The royal completed her look with beige heels and added a bit more glamour with gold earrings.

The Queens were joined by their husbands Dutch King Willem-Alexander and King Philippe of Belgium for the tech forum.
