The Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort are known to be some of the best places in the world for a magical Disney vacation. Any Disney Theme Park and the attractions at these Disney Resorts-think Haunted Mansion at Disney's Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland Park, shows like "Fantasmic!" at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park, a nighttime spectacular like Disney Enchantment, or lands like Pandora at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure-have Guests coming back in droves for a chance to live the Disney experience.

Lately, all Disney news has been overtaken by the Disney vs. DeSantis happenings, wherein Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has made a lot of decisions that adversely impact the Walt Disney Company's ability to run Walt Disney World in the way they have for decades now. For much time, Disney hadn't officially spoken on the issue (which has currently escalated to lawsuits) save for what the company detailed in its lawsuit. But on May 10, the Walt Disney Company just had its earnings call for FY 2023 Q2, and much has come to light during the call.

During this call, Disney announced it would be combining Disney+ and Hulu into one app, it responded to the writer's strike currently overtaking Hollywood, and most importantly, Disney CEO Bob Iger responded to the current lawsuit that is all over headlines, and he's was quite explicit in his and Disney's stance on the matter.

As Mr. Iger asked of Florida and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, "Does the state want us to invest more, employ more people, and pay more money in taxes, or not?"

While Florida seems to just be creating more trouble for Disney, fans are tired of seeing how the Sunshine State is treating Disney and are now wishing Disney would up and leave.

Seeing everything that has transpired, many states have tossed their hats in the ring to be considered if ever Disney chose to up and move from Florida, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and even Georgia.

Disney has announced no plans to move, but it seems between what fans want and how the Disney vs. DeSantis issue is progressing, the Mouse House might well decide to leave Florida behind for greener (and easier) pastures. If so, it will certainly be backed by a supportive crowd.
