Ali Wong has cemented herself as a bona fide icon of entertainment, with a *chef's kiss* brand of humor that has resulted in tons of roles in movies and television shows, epic comedy specials, and more personal projects, including a book dedicated to her daughters. Her recent starring role in the Netflix comedy-drama series Beef has only added to her already impressive résumé, which begs the following questions: (1) How much is Ali making on all of these deals? and (2) is it too late to start brushing up on my improv?!

Sadly, the second answer is a big TBD, but the first answer is far more clear. Let's get into Ali Wong's net worth, shall we?

From 2016 through 2023, Ali has released three comedy specials on the streaming service, including Ali Wong: Baby Cobra in 2016, Ali Wong: Hard Knock Wife in 2018, and, most recently, Ali Wong: Don Wong in 2022. Unfortunately for us nosy people, we don't know exactly how much $$$ she earned for the first two projects, but we can assume that it was up there considering there was a full-on bidding war between streaming giants Netflix and HBO for her third special ¯\_(?)_/¯.

In the end, sources revealed to the Hollywood Reporter that HBO offered Ali more than $10 million for a single special, but the comedian ultimately decided to stick with Netflix and accept the streamer's eight-figure deal. Casual. (Oh, and by the way, all of this money doesn't even account for how much the celeb makes IRL via ticket sales from the comedy shows themselves.)

Ali is basically the queen of passive income because she also rakes in money from her website, where she sells everything from crewneck sweaters and hats to mugs. And although the sales from these pieces likely don't contribute heavily to the comedian's total net worth, her commitment to the side hustle is admirable.

Yep, back in 2019, Ali wrote Dear Girls: Intimate Tales, Untold Secrets & Advice for Living Your Best Life, a collection of "heartfelt and hilarious letters to her daughters." While she was promoting the book, the comedian spoke with NPR about the inspiration behind the project, and mused:

Ali's list of acting creds goes through the roof and dates back to 2011, when she appeared in the Fox sitcom Breaking In. Since then, she has worked on a slew of other television projects including a 2016 to 2021 run as Doris on ABC's American Housewife as well as roles in Are You There, Chelsea?, Black Box, and Inside Amy Schumer.

More recently, Ali has dipped her toes into the world of the silver screen and has starred in the movies Birds of Prey, Father Figures, and Love, Victor. She also received tons of praise for her role in Always Be My Maybe-a project she also wrote and produced. According to Netflix, the film was viewed by 32 million households within the first four weeks of its premiere (!).

This pattern of additionally serving as the writer or producer on a show or movie is truly a testament to how freakin' talented Ali is, and it doesn't stop with Always Be My Maybe. Back in 2017, she guest-starred on the television show Fresh Off the Boat-which she formerly wrote for-and this month premiered the highly lauded A24 show Beef, wherein she served as one of the lead actors and an executive producer.

ICYMI, Beef is a dark comedy that follows two strangers who develop an intense feud-and that's putting it lightly, lol-after getting into a road rage incident. Creator Lee Sung Jin actually spoke with Newsweek about how the show came to be because of a similar incident that had happened to him:

As for how Ali herself feels about the entire experience working on the show? "I think the challenge of it was just really fulfilling," she told the publication."So I'm looking back on the footage and the episodes and being like, 'Wow, who is that person?' When I see myself, it's pretty mystifying and satisfying at the same time."

Case in point? The actor voiced the character Felony in the 2018 Disney film Ralph Breaks the Internet, which grossed over $529.3 million at the box office. Ali was also the voice of Roberta "Bertie" Songthrush on the animated sitcom Tuca & Bertie alongside a slew of other celebs, including Tiffany Haddish and Nicole Byer. Plus, in 2019, Ali was first introduced in Netflix's smash-hit show Big Mouth, and in 2022, she went on to voice Becca on its spin-off Human Resources.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, the multi-hyphenate celeb is worth a whopping $4 million, which makes sense considering how much she rakes in via her successful stand-up comedy career, books, merch sales, and acting creds.
