A proposal to enhance lighting at two tennis courts is among the planning applications submitted to Watford, Three Rivers, Hertsmere and Dacorum councils.

Moor Park Golf Club has applied to Three Rivers District Council to install six pole-mounted LED lights to provide the potential for additional playing time on two of its artificial courts.

A heritage, design and access statement with the application explains that two of the club's six artificial courts already have floodlighting. But the club's activities are restricted during the darker winter months when its natural turf courts are unable to be used at times.

The statements adds: "The objective is to enable two extra courts to be played alongside the existing lit courts in early evenings, to enhance the playing opportunities of its members."

Scroll through our extensive list below to see the applications validated by Watford, Three Rivers and Dacorum councils in the week beginning May 8, plus those related to Aldenham, Bushey, Radlett and Watford submitted to Hertsmere Borough Council in the week ending May 5.
