My life story, in regards to this drink, is really that important to you here it is - I love root beer, always have, always will, and through my legal drinking experiences, I've grown quite fond of bourbon and whiskey.
So when I found out that the company behind Not Your Father's Root Beer was dabbling in the whiskey game I knew I had to give it a shot. Good? Good. Now onto the good stuff.

1.5 oz Not Your Father's Bourbon
.5 oz Art In The Age - ROOT*
1 oz Root Beer Syrup (recipe below)
Couple healthy shakes of Orange Bitters
1 cup Demerara Sugar
½ cup water
1 tsp Root Beer Concentrate
Bring all ingredients to a boil in a small pot. Let all the sugar dissolve, turn off the heat and allow to cool completely.

Combine all of your ingredients in a shaker or mixing glass and stir with ice for a good 10-15 seconds. Strain into your favorite rocks glass over a large ice cube.
