Matt Damon has been in Australia since the start of the year, as he shoots his role in Marvel's Thor: Love and Thunder, currently being filmed in Sydney.
While the Hollywood superstar, 50, and his family have based themselves in the seaside town of Byron Bay, NSW, on Friday they ventured to Sydney for a visit to Taronga Zoo.
Matt, his wife Luciana, 45, and their daughters, Alexia, 22, Isabella, 14, Stella, 10, travelled to the zoo by boat and visited various animal enclosures.
Matt looked relaxed as he accompanied his family to the iconic zoo, which sits on Sydney Harbour, with the five blending in with the other tourists.
The Bourne Identity actor wore a simple navy blue shirt with a pair of olive cargo pants.
He covered up his famous face with a pair of sunglasses, and wore a blue cap on his head.
Luciana looked chic in a pair of white overalls under which she had on a black bodysuit.
She too opted for sunglasses, as well as a black cap, tasseled cross-body bag and white sneakers.
Surrounded by his amused family, Matt appeared to have a fantastic time getting up close and personal with a giraffe.
The Elysium actor grinned as he held out a carrot for the long-necked animal to graze on.
His daughters and wife looking on and snapping away with their cameras, Matt make quite a spectacle of himself, giggling as he giraffe grabbed the treat.
The A-lister picked up his own camera to take some photographs of the animals, and appeared to be enjoying his day out just like any other visitor to the zoo.
As well as the giraffes, Matt and his brood also visited the gorillas, and spent some time in the gift shop.
His daughters grabbed bottles of water and iced treats, while Matt picked up a nature print to hang at home.
Luciana spent a stack of $50 bills from the ATM, and, before they all boarded a boat back to the city, after Matt zoo tipped staff $50 each.
He also went out of his way to help others aboard the boat safely, reaching out his hand to assist as the waves rocked the vessel, which then sped off across Sydney Harbour back to Sydney city.
Matt is in Australia reprising his comedic cameo from the 2017 Thor installment, Thor: Ragnarok.
He portrayed an Asgardian actor who is portraying the character Loki, normally played by Tom Hiddleston, in a theatrical production which takes place within the film.
Thor: Love and Thunder, features a similar play scene, which the Downsizing actor filmed this week in Sydney's Little Bay.
Matt and his family have been living in the idyllic town Bryon Bay, which has become a favourite for Hollywood celebrities visiting Down Under.
The Martian actor has been travelling between Bryon Bay and Sydney by private jet to film scenes for Thor: Love and Thunder over the past month.
