Fortnite: How To Get Ciri And Yennefer Skins (The Witcher)

GameRant 23.06.2023 14:54:11 Jake Fillery

Geralt has always hated portals, and no wonder, because the world of The Witcher has manifested into Fortnite, most likely due to some magical disruptions. With the collaboration between CD Projekt Red and Epic Games, Fortnite players can get their hands on The Witcher's Ciri and Yennefer of Vengerberg.

The two new Fortnite x The Witcher skins feature in their The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt appearances, thus adding more characters from the series into Fortnite. If players want to know how to get Ciri and Yennefer in Fortnite, then they might be pleased to know that they come with more than just their well-designed skins.

However, for those wondering how to get Geralt in Fortnite, it might be unfortunate for them to learn that Geralt of Rivia was an exclusive unlock for Chapter 4, Season 1's Battle Pass. If players missed out on Geralt, then there is no way to claim him. However, players have the opportunity to get the best characters in The Witcher, with Ceri, the Lady of Space and Time, as well as Yennefer, the powerful sorceress of Vengerberg.

Unlike some of the other best Collab skins in Fortnite, Ciri and Yennefer are not bound to a Battle Pass, or a limited-time event like Find the Force. Instead, all players need to do if they want to claim Ciri and Yennefer as a Fortnite outfit is to head to the Item Shop, where they will be graced by their power and prices.

Ciri and Yennefer are labeled under the "Silver & Sorcery" Set, with their iconic design catching the eyes of the players as they head to the Item Shop. Upon release, they are at the very top of the Item Shop page, but as the days progresses, players might need to scroll down a tad past the other purchasable skins to use their earned V-Bucks on The Witcher collab.

Players can purchase Ciri in a Pack with all her items for 2,000 V-Bucks, and Yennefer of Vengerberg for 1,500 V-Bucks. Only Yennefer can be purchased separately in the Fortnite Item Shop, but it might be wise to hold off from getting just the outfit, as Fortnite has provided her skin with a bundle for just 300 V-Bucks more.

Each bundle comes with a variety of items to make the perfect loadout for Ciri and Yennefer that will encourage them to eliminate other players in a John Wick style. The separate bundles of each character provide them with different items and emote from the character's past, as seen in The Witcher 3. The references are brilliant for hardcore fans of The Witcher, and whilst they might not add any tactical advantage on the battlefield, they will at least make players feel fashionable and good about their loadout choices.

Otherwise, players are losing V-Bucks by wasting them on items that can be purchased cheaper when they are in a bundle, rather than separately, as Fortnite usually does deals when it comes to Bundle skins, thus encouraging players to obtain the full set rather than just separate pieces.

For 2,000 V-Bucks, players can pick up the Ciri Pack. Listed below is a look at everything it comes with:

"Trained as a Witcher and bound by destiny with her adopted father, Geralt." Ciri is an iconic character from The Witcher, and many fans are expecting her to lead the series as the protagonist in The Witcher 4. However, until that time, they can play as Ciri in Fortnite. Ciri is an outfit from the Gaming Legends Series, and her design looks like it was taken directly from The Witcher 3, showing the level of detail and care that Fortnite takes with its collab skins.

"No Witcher has, or ever had a better weapon." Like any true caring father, Geralt gifted his daughter Ciri a silver sword from Master Ort. In The Witcher 3, this sword is exclusive to one of the best endings in the game Ciri embarks on her journey as a Witcher, and as a Witcher, a silver sword is completely necessary for monsters. Zireael can be used as a Back Bling, in which it will be sheathed in leather on Ciri's back. It can also be drawn from its sheathe and used as a Pickaxe in all its silver glory. Another interesting thing to note is that using Zireael as Ciri provides a reactive effect, in which Ciri will have glowing green lines, indicating her powers are active.

"Make your descent on the wings of the beast." The last thing players can expect from the Ciri set in Fortnite is the Basilisk Glider. It's poetic, and such keen attention to detail for Fortnite to include the Basilisk as Ciri's Glider, for this monstrous beast was a boss fight in The Witcher 3, and one of the first giant monsters that Ciri killed as the player. The glider is taken straight from the game, and the Basilisk grips Zireael, allowing Ciri to hold her sword as the winged monster takes her where she needs to drop from the Battle Bus.

Players can expect a bounty of goodies if they purchase the Yennefer Bundle for 1,800 V-Bucks, and here's what they can expect within:

"Powerful sorceress who walks her own path." Yennefer, much like Ciri, is bound to fate when it comes to Geralt. The two always inevitably cross paths, whether their goals align or not. Yennefer adds such complexity to The Witcher series, and she is one of its better-known characters for a reason. Her feature in Fortnite is of great success, as her outfit and design are taken straight from The Witcher 3, including her purple eyes, face, and outfit.

"Make a close personal connection." There are not many people that Yennefer trusts in the world of The Witcher, but her megascope? That's something to believe in. Although Yennefer is rather delicate about her megascope, it doesn't stop her from using it as a Pickaxe in Fortnite, where players can swing this powerful and magical tool.

"Magical bird skull carved from black crystal." The Bird Skull Back Bling may just be a cosmetic in Fortnite, but it harbors incredible power that allowed Yennefer to lay waste to a battlefield in White Orchard in The Witcher 3. Restricted to Fortnite, this Back Bling shines and sparks with power, used as a trophy for the wielder's back.

"The bird that carries Yennefer's message." Fortnite players can expect a fun little Emote to go with their Yennefer skin if they purchase the bundle or the Black Wings Emote. A bird will be summoned, flapping its wings in elegance, showcasing the power and sorcery of Yennefer, before she turns it into a bird skull used for magic.

For those that want more out of the Item Shop, or to those completionists, then players can embark into Fortnite's Creative Maps to obtain some Emoticons. These Emoticons allow players to express themselves on the battlefield, and they perfectly encapsulate the character and emotion of both Yennefer and Ciri. The Yennefer and Ciri quests are available until July 12, 2023, so players should get started now.

If players embark on the Island Code "2862-9616-5689", they will be able to unlock the Annoyed Yennefer Emoticon once they Reach the elimination goal in Yennefer's Battleground. For the Confident Ciri Emoticon, players need to use the Island Code "2776-4034-8400" and Complete the parkour course in Ciri's Escape. Although players prefer Emotes to Emoticons, it's still worth picking these pieces up before they are lost forever to Fortnite's ever-changing rotation of collabs, skins, and quests. Completing both quests will give players the Ciri player icon.

Ciri and Yennefer were released in the Item Shop on the 23rd of June, 2023. The Fortnite Item Shop can be completely unpredictable at times. Many players have expressed the desire to see the Kratos skin from God of War return, especially with the release of God of War: Ragnarok. However, the Kratos skin in Fortnite never returned, yet other collaborations have in the past. This leaves the unpredictable nature of Fortnite skins, and whether they will ever return once they rotate out of the Item Shop.

Players can expect Ciri and Yennefer to stay for at least a week or two, considering they are a new collaboration. However, due to licensing issues, it's entirely possible that once the Ciri and Yennefer skins are out of the Item Shop, they are gone for good, so it's best that players save up their V-Bucks from STW, the Battle Pass, or the V-Bucks store to pick up these The Witcher characters before it is too.

This latest collaboration between CD Projekt RED and Epic Games has many players hopeful for a future collab between the two for the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. Fans of the series have expressed interest in dropping from the Battle Bus as Keanu Reeves' iconic Johnny Silverhand, and begrudging partner V, so once Ciri and Yennefer leave the Item Shop, perhaps they will return to promote Cyberpunk 2077's expansion.

Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
