'Catastrophic': Five passengers dead as Titan sub wreckage discovered

The US Coast Guard has confirmed the five passengers onboard the Titan submersible are dead after a "catastrophic implosion" of the vessel.

Two debris fields of the tourist submersible were discovered less than 500 metres from the Titanic wreckage.

Authorities are continuing to search the ocean floor over the coming hours for other parts of the vessel.
