Sainsbury's Nectar Card is proving more popular than ever these days, as we all look for ways to save money on food, household goods and other essentials.
The card allows you to accumulate points every time you buy something in a Sainsbury's store, or at a Sainsbury's petrol station - which can later be used to get money off your shopping or be put towards other rewards - from free hot drinks through to flights and hotels.
However it also allows users to enjoy immediate discounts on certain items instore and online through its Nectar Price offers - and as of now they can also take advantage of a big change when it comes to saving money on the weekly shop.
What's new for Nectar cardholders - and what can you expect to save?
As of today -June 22 - Sainsbury's has added fresh produce and ready meals to Nectar Prices for the first time - meaning card holders can get discounts on fruit and veg for the first time since the scheme launched.
There are savings to be had on such products as strawberries, for example, with a £2.25 punnet costing Nectar cardholders £1.75, while Sainsbury's Medium Ripe and Ready Avocados, which normally cost £1.60, will cost £1.20.
And branded ready meals, such as Wasabi Chicken Katsu curry with rice (down from £2.45 down to £3.75) and Charlie Bigham's Lasagne (normally £9.50, now £7 for cardholders) are also included in the deal.
Other products offer even larger savings, with Nectar members able to enjoy up to 50% off Sainsbury's Best of British apples (usually £1.70, Nectar Price 85p) and Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Jersey Royal Potatoes (usually £3, Nectar Price £1.50).
Sam Burston, Director of Nectar & Loyalty at Sainsbury's, said: 'We're always looking for new ways to provide great value to our customers all-year round, helping customers make their money go further.
'With new offers now available on fresh produce and ready meals, shoppers can now access lower prices on a wider range of essential everyday items.
'We're delighted that Nectar Prices has proven popular with our customers so far, and we'll continue to expand it further in the future.'
Here's what's included among the discounts, and what you can expect to save.
