Just days after news broke that Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders could lose his leg as a result of poor circulation, it seems that the Hall of Fame defensive back now has another terrifying health issue that's requiring emergency surgery.
According to football media personality Pat McAfee, Deion Sanders is set to have emergency surgery after a blood clot was discovered in his groin.
"A blood clot has been found in his groin, and he has emergency surgery happening tomorrow," McAfee reported on Thursday. "This comes after - I think there was another surgery that was being talked about within the last couple of weeks."
The Pat McAfee show is not generally a very serious news outlet, and as a result, they wasted no time making a lighthearted joke about the situation, expressing concern about a particular anatomical part on Sanders' body.
"We are such a childish operation, we're talking about emergency blood clot surgery and everyone's mind as soon as we heard it was in his groin was 'what are the longterm ramifications for this?'" McAfee said, expressing concern for Sanders' manhood. "Cause you never know with nerves - they're going to have to go in."
Still, McAfee understands the severity of the situation.
"Blood clots are scary as [heck]," McAfee said. "Blood clots - I don't think people know about. Blood clots can kill you."
All in all, it's a very scary situation for Sanders, and the football community had plenty to say about it on social media.
The football world is hoping and praying for a smooth and quick recovery for Sanders.
