Mohamed Salah could be one of the next players in line to get a lucrative offer to play in Saudi Arabia, according to a director who has worked extensively in Asian football.
The Saudi Pro League attracted Cristiano Ronaldo to join Al Nassr earlier this year after his departure from Man Utd. It appears that was just the tip of the iceberg, since several other players are on their way to play in the Middle East.
For example, Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante have signed for Al Ittihad after leaving Real Madrid and Chelsea respectively. Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly and Hakim Ziyech are also leaving the latter for Saudi sides.
Perhaps most worryingly of all for clubs in Europe, Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves is set to sign for Al Hilal, despite being in the prime of his career at the age of 26 and being worth £47m.
Clearly, the Saudi Pro League is serious about bringing in high-pedigree players. Therefore, there will be some attention on who might be next in line to make such a move.

According to Hafez Al-Medlej, who has worked with the Saudi Pro League and the Asian Football Confederation, Liverpool winger Salah should be on the country's agenda.
Al-Medlej told Koura: "We must also start working on the signing of Mohamed Salah since he is overwhelmingly popular in the Arab world and in Europe.
"I think Salah still has records to break with Liverpool, so I hope that if he doesn't come now he will in the future."
Salah was named as one of the 50 most influential Muslims in the world in 2023 by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre. Therefore, his status and pedigree in the Arab world is obvious.
So too is his ability on the football field. Across six seasons with Liverpool, the winger has scored 186 goals from 305 games, making him their joint-fifth leading scorer of all time.
On a wider scale, the Egypt captain has been in the top 10 in the voting for the Ballon d'Or in each of the past four editions of the award.
Liverpool still have Salah under contract until 2025, though. After he hit the 30-goal landmark in their three most recent consecutive seasons, it seems right to assume the 31-year-old still has plenty to offer at Anfield - especially after his agent denied rumours of a meeting with Paris Saint-Germain.
Of course, the Saudi league is trying to attract players at any stage of their career. But even Al-Medlej believes Salah's potential move there wouldn't be an imminent one.
The former Basel, Chelsea, Fiorentina and Roma man began his career in the Middle East with Al Mokawloon in his native Egypt. Where he ends his career remains to be seen.
Hopefully, that will be a matter for the distant future anyway, since Salah remains such an enjoyable player to watch.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have reportedly decided when to put in their first bid for the man they hope will become their second midfield signing of the summer.
