Reported to be in the run to play Clark Kent in Superman: Legacy, Pierson Fodé makes his case for the role in an exciting stunt video. As new DC Studios co-CEOs, James Gunn and Peter Safran are rebooting the old DCEU with the upcoming DC Universe. Gunn has confirmed that Superman: Legacy, which he is writing and directing, will be the first movie of the new DC Universe. Fodé was revealed to be a Superman: Legacy actor contender at the start of June, and the actor is now making a public case for his DC Universe casting.

On Instagram, Action Factory shared a stunt video of Fodé flying around and using Superman's signature heat vision, making a compelling case for the actor to lead Superman: Legacy.

Back when Fodé was reported to be in the race for the coveted Superman role, Variety revealed that The Bold and The Beautiful actor had submitted a self-tape, which Gunn appreciated after seeing Fodé's "very Clark Kent-like childhood on a farm in the small town of Moses Lake, Wash." While the stunt video provides an opportunity to see what Fodé as Superman might have looked like, the actor's chances of getting the role have dwindled with recent Superman: Legacy casting reports.

The first Superman: Legacy casting reports emerged in May, with Fodé only being connected to the film's casting process the next month. Sadly for the actor, a recent Superman: Legacy audition update revealed the actors that made it to the screen testing stage for the roles of Lois Lane and Clark Kent. The reported candidates for Lois are Emma Mackey, Phoebe Dynevor, and Rachel Brosnahan. Superman: Legacy's lead role is reportedly between David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, and Tom Brittney.

Shortly after the report about the actors screen testing for the movie came out, Gunn shared his reaction to the Superman: Legacy auditions, confirming the screen tests had happened. Gunn drummed up excitement about the actors involved in the most recent round of auditions, saying that he was "blown away by some of these actors." Gunn also went on to say that some of the actors that screen tested for Lois and Clark are "among the best [he's] ever seen or worked with."

All the names said to have screen tested for the roles of Lois and Clark appeared in the first Superman: Legacy casting reports, indicating that the new round of rumors is true, which appears to rule out Fodé's chances of nabbing the role. Fans will likely know for sure who will play Superman and Lois soon. With Marvel Studios out of San Diego Comic-Con 2023's Hall H, DC will be looking to make a splash. The studio will be in the spotlight in July's SDCC and Superman: Legacy's Lois and Clark are likely going to be revealed at the event.
