THE LATEST figures detailing how house prices are faring in Flintshire and Wrexham have been revealed.
House prices dropped slightly, by 0.1%, in Flintshire in April, these new figures show and, in Wrexham, they increased slightly by 0.2% on March.
But the drop does not reverse the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area grow by 7.5% and 6.7% over the last year respectively.
The average Flintshire house price in April was £218,463, Land Registry figures show and, in Wrexham, that figure was £206,116.
Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Flintshire rose by £15,000 - putting the area fourth among Wales's 22 local authorities with price data for annual growth.
During the same period, the average sale price in Wrexham rose by £13,000 - putting the area sixth on that list.

First-time buyers in Flintshire spent an average of £183,000 on their property - £12,000 more than a year ago, and £48,000 more than in April 2018.
By comparison, former owner-occupiers paid £246,000 on average in April - 34.5% more than first-time buyers.
First-time buyers in Wrexham spent an average of £179,000 on their property - £11,000 more than a year ago, and £42,000 more than in April 2018.
By comparison, former owner-occupiers paid £237,000 on average in April - 32.6% more than first-time buyers.
Owners of terraced houses saw the biggest fall in property prices in Flintshire in April - they dropped 0.3% in price, to £151,554 on average. But over the last year, prices rose by 6.5%.
Buyers paid 2.6% more than the average price in Wales (£213,000) in April for a property in Flintshire.
Owners of flats saw the biggest rise in property prices in Wrexham in April - they increased 0.6%, to £103,165 on average. Over the last year, prices rose by 5.5%.
