In the main quest, Impa and the Geoglyphs, Link must assist Impa in discovering the truth of the geoglyph she found in the North Hyrule Plain. Discovering the truth of this geoglyph can prove incredibly useful to Link to find Zelda.
To get the quest Impa and the Geoglyphs, you'll need to head over to the New Serenne Stable in North Hyrule Plain, west of Hyrule Castle. Just outside the stable, you'll find a lone man named Cado standing next to a donkey. Talk to him, and he will unlock the Impa and the Geoglyphs quest for you. After this, you'll want to head north on the map to find Impa waiting on a small platform for you.
After you talk with Impa, she will mention that she wants to get a better look of the geoglyph found in the plain just in front of you. The only way she will be able to do this is to use the hot air balloon to get high above the geoglyph, but unfortunately it has been broken. You'll need to fix it for her to complete the quest.
To do this, you'll notice the balloon on the ground to the right. Pick it up using Ultrahand, and then rotate it to get it upright. Then, you'll want to place it into the small slot on the seating area using Attach to fix the hot air balloon. Then, go up to Impa to let her know that the balloon is ready to go.
Eventually, Impa will get in the hot air balloon, and you'll need to use fire to get it going. Pick up the torch next to the small campfire on the left, and light it up. Approach the hot air balloon and swing at the stack of wood in the middle to light it up and get the hot air balloon moving.

As you reach as high as the balloon can go, Impa will ask for your help in searching for the Dragon's Tears, which can be found hidden in the geoglyph. It took us a minute to find it, but if you jump off the hot air balloon and glide, you'll notice a small, filled-in spot at the top of the geoglyph on its right eye.
Make your way towards this spot, and when you reach the ground, approach the small area of water and investigate it. A cutscene will occur, showing how Zelda ended up in the past and met Queen Sonia and King Rauru. Afterward, the Impa and the Geoglyphs quest will wrap up once you meet back up with Impa.
