With Aldi Specialbuys transitioning to an in-store only format, home and garden retailer Wilko could just be your new favourite shopping destination if you prefer to order online and have your shopping delivered.
The high street favourite has been rivalling the German supermarket chain with a range of summer must-haves including an adult slush machine and ice maker.
With the country expecting another heatwave, there will no doubt be barbecues planned up and down the country, and to offer guests something fun, Wilko is stocking an ice crusher slush machine to enjoy refreshing drinks all summer long.

Priced at £37, the kitchen gadget has a retro design and two settings for fine or coarse shaved ice perfect for cooling down any drink. And yes - you can make frozen cocktails in it, we checked.
Explaining how to use the device, Wilko said: "After the ice falls into the jug, the stirrer will constantly agitate the ice to prevent it from sticking. Then, add fruit juice, alcohol or syrup to your jug to create a delicious refreshment for kids and adults alike."
Last year, Aldi's comparable frozen drinks maker cost £24.99, and while it's around £12 cheaper than Wilko's, we've not seen it available to buy online yet in 2023.
We tried the Ambiano version for ourselves back in 2022, and it did a great job at making a frozen margarita - but if you missed out on the Specialbuy, Wilko have plenty of their Neo Ice Crusher Slush Machines available online.
And if you want an endless supply of frozen beverages, then you'll also require an unlimited supply of ice. Some of us don't have those fancy fridge freezers that do it for you, nor the freezer space for bags of ice, so what's the solution?
Wilko are also stocking a Neo electric ice cube maker for a cool £99. It may seem steep, but on the Neo website it was previously £199, so has been slashed to half price. Aldi's own version released in 2022 was praised by shoppers for 'never running out of ice' and came in £20 cheaper at £79.99, but hasn't been seen since it sold out online last year.
The Wilko version means shoppers can produce up to 12kg of ice per day and nine ice cubes per cycle. The built-in storage bin can store up to 1.8 L of water at a time while the machine can make ice cubes fast yet with low noise in the meantime.
You can shop all of the Wilko ice crushers and ice cube makers online here. Alternatively, if you're looking for something even more budget-friendly and don't mind putting in a bit of elbow grease, then there's a manual ice crusher available on Amazon for under £12.
