Place a marker, 31(32:33:34) sts in from each end of the cast on row.
Using mattress stitch and taking a half stitch from eah edge into the seam, join the row-ends of the two pieces together, reversing the seam on first 8cm, so that when the top section is turned over, the seam is invisible.
With collar markers matching the cast off ends of the armhole edgings, sew the collar to the back and front matching stitch for stitch across the st-st section and stitch for row-end across the armhole edgings. Fold the collar over onto the right side and stitch the edge in place at the armholes if required.
