The Queensland government will launch a $1.5 million counteroffensive campaign to highlight the benefits of coal royalties.

The state raked in a $15.3 billion on coal royalties windfall in the latest budget.

The 30-second advertisement depicts Queenslanders enjoying state-sponsored facilities including dams and sports fields.
