Here are the best radiator covers to conceal unsightly heaters & create more shelving in your room, including mirrored radiator covers and grey radiator covers.

Adding a radiator cover to your room can have a surprisingly transformative effect. As lots of them come in at under £100, it can make for an inexpensive update, too.

Not only do these covers conceal unsightly radiators, they also give you more shelving space without having to drill into your walls. This extra storage area can come in handy in hallways, as a good spot to keep your keys, and in the living room, where you can style it with some photo frames, mirrors or pretty vases.

There are plenty of different styles available, from those with more traditional country farmhouse aesthetics to ultra-decadent mirrored versions that create an opulent feel. Many also come unfinished, so you can paint them any colour you like to fit in with your decor.

We've rounded up some of our favourite radiator covers - from affordable options starting at just £20, to large statement pieces that are adjustable to fit your exact needs - below.

A mirrored radiator cover will look right at home in properties with a modern feminine vibe or those with a more Art Deco feel. While undeniably a statement piece, these covers are on the pricier side and might require more regular cleaning than traditional painted options - so do consider if you're willing to commit to this before purchasing.

The grey interiors trend is here to stay, so adding a radiator cover in the hue of the moment will make for a timeless room update. This neutral colour will go with virtually all decor schemes, and there are plenty of sizes and styles available in a variety of shades. You could also consider buying an unfinished model (keep scrolling for more options below) if you need a specific tint to match your space.

For living rooms and larger spaces where you might have a sizable heater, adding a radiator cover can have a big impact, giving you a long shelf run to decorate however you please. If you have a non-standard sized radiator, don't worry; there are plenty of adjustable models, or you could even go bespoke.

For smaller rooms like bathrooms, there are plenty of single-panel radiator covers available. As they're no wider than a standard shelf, they won't take up much floor area. Adding the additional shelving means more storage space, too, which can be especially useful in bijou homes.

If you like the idea of reclaiming the dead space above your radiator, but just don't like the look of covers, you could install a shelf above the heater. For uber-minimalist homes and small spaces with minimal floor space, this might be the best option. You can, of course, just install a standard shelf, but there are plenty of no-drill dedicated radiator shelves that use special brackets to fit securely to your heater.
