Rickie Fowler was tied for the lead at the U.S. Open heading into the final round on Sunday afternoon.
But Sunday did not go as planned for Fowler. He fell several strokes back of Wyndham Clark and never made a big push to get back in contention.
Fowler finished the tournament at -5, while Clark finished five strokes ahead of him at -10, to take home the third major championship of the year.
The former Oklahoma State star had a classy reaction to losing the tournament, though.
Fowler and Clark embraced for a hug following the final hole on Sunday night.
That's pretty cool to see from Fowler.
Congrats to Wyndham Clark, meanwhile, on winning his first major championship!
