It's been announced that Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, a promising upcoming Xbox Game Pass game, will be launched in 2024 instead of early 2023. According to the developers, this soulslike game has been delayed to make it unforgettable.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is an interesting action RPG developed by A44 Games, the creators of an Elden Ring-like game known as Ashen. The new game is set to be released on day one on Xbox Game Pass, and it has managed to catch some players' eyes ever since it was announced in the 2022's Xbox Game Showcase with its unique combat mechanics and open-world gameplay.

Unfortunately, the developers at A44 Games have announced that Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will miss its targeted early 2023 release date and will be delayed until 2024 instead. This delay is majorly caused due to polishing reasons alongside quality assurance to bring the best experience for players. A44 Games provided a statement on Twitter mentioning that the development team has been hard at work creating the action RPG. "It's important to our whole team that Flintlock is a special experience, and we owe it to ourselves and to all of you who have been following the game since we announced to make it the most impressive and unforgettable game it can be." The statement continues, saying that A44 Games is thankful for the support that Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn has received. With how great the game has looked thus far, soulslike game fans should be in for a treat once the game development is completed.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn stars Nor, an explosives expert that wields an axe and a flintlock pistol, and her magical companion Enki, a fox-like creature whose magical abilities allow for easier crowd control. This unique action RPG also has a cel-shaded graphics style and a simplified character progression based on Talismans and equipment. What sets this title apart from other games like it is the ability to control two characters at once in different combat scenarios alongside a unique combination of magical abilities and gunplay that lets players take the fight against groups of enemies. Enki's magical abilities provide crowd control options that allow Nor to blast her way through the opposition with her guns and unique combat skills. Enki's abilities can also be used for traversal across the open world while Nor can channel some of its magic to enhance her moves.
It's worth pointing out that Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will not be exclusive to Xbox Game Pass. While the game will be available on Game Pass from day one, it also is going to be available on platforms such as PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. As such, players from those platforms should be able to thoroughly enjoy this experience once it releases in 2024.
