The National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMA's) are back and we're on the search for a First Nations act to add to the deadly line-up (which is already full of Blak Royalty btw).
It's one of the most prestigious nights in Australian music that's been celebrating First Nations music, culture and creatives for the past sixteen years and counting.
Amongst the many awards that are on offer over the course of the night, different musical offerings are yet to be performed too. With Acts such as Thelma Plum, Budjerah, Barkaa and a few more hand-picked Indigenous artists, this year attendees are in for an absolute treat.

So this year, we're looking for another artist to take to stage, could it be you?
Before applying, ask yourself this question. Am I a First Nations artist? If you've answered yes, then read the terms and conditions and get applying. This comp is open to every act on Unearthed across the country. You've got nothing to lose, everything to gain.

Comp open period: Thursday 19 June - Sunday 9 July 2023
How to enter: Upload your music to the triple j Unearthed website before the deadline and make sure you've ticked 'yes' to the Indigenous tab on your profile
Prize: Performance slot at the NIMA's event + additional performance fees and travel + accommodation reimbursement
Eligibility: Any act on the triple j Unearthed website who is Indigenous
