#Socialites, let's keep the legendary producer Quincy Jones in prayer! The 90-year-old icon was rushed to the emergency room earlier today after suffering a medical emergency from something he ate. It's since been reported that he has been released from the hospital.

On Sunday morning (June 18), it was reported by TMZ that Jones had suffered a medical emergency on Saturday afternoon (June 17). They reported that representatives for the legendary music producer told them that he had a really bad reaction to something he had eaten, and that it was so bad, his people had to call paramedics for immediate help.
The rep said, "[He had a] bad reaction to some food he ate. Out of an abundance of caution, he called 911 for help."
When the emergency personnel arrived to Jones; home in Los Angeles, California, they rushed him to the nearest emergency room to begin running tests and stabilize his condition. While in the ER, doctors treated him for his medical emergency, and eventually gave him the green light to return home. So, shortly after arriving, he was soon released from the hospital and is back at home.

Speaking with the news publication, representatives for the 28-time Grammy Award winner noted that he never lost consciousness and suffered anything too severe, and that he remained in "great spirits" throughout the emergency and after being treated and released from the hospital; which is great news!
His representatives did however add that the incident was a bit of a scary moment for Jones' close loved ones, but they are glad that he is doing better and recovering.

It has been reported that the famed producer has had his fair share of health issues throughout the years. In 1974, Jones suffered a life-threatening brain aneurysm. The medical emergency eventually required Jones to undergo two operations that left him with six steel pins in his head.
In his 2018 documentary, 'Quincy,' the producer explained, "I actually had two brain aneurysms. So I guess I would classify as having some experience with trauma to the brain."
Jones also recalled his mother, Sarah Jones, who was a schizophrenic who had also suffered with dementia, and was ripped from him and put in a straight-jacket when he was seven.
He said, "Also, my mother suffered from mental illness. She was a brilliant woman who spoke several languages and had degrees from several colleges, but she had this condition that debilitated her, which today could've been controlled with medication. But at the time, during the Depression, they simply would commit you."

Jones was also rushed to the hospital in 2015 after he became ill with chest pains and shortness of breath. The incident occurred when he was inside of his Bel Air home. At the time, his representatives claimed, "Quincy is fine. He had some shortness of breath and in an abundance of caution he went in for observation. He is fine though."
At one point in his career, Oprah Winfrey interviewed Jones and asked him what he had learned from his previous struggles in life. He replied, "The same thing the brain operation taught me: that you have to tell the people you care about how much you care about them. Just let it all out. I was so happy to be alive."
