Man Utd will allow Eric Bailly to leave Old Trafford this summer at 'almost no cost' to the buying club, according to reports.

The Red Devils are looking to raise money to add to Erik ten Hag's reported £120m transfer budget with a number of fringe players for sale this summer.

Central defence could be one department which suffers losses with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez now Ten Hag's preferred pairing.

There have been rumours that Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof could depart in the summer unless they are guaranteed more minutes by Ten Hag.

And Bailly, who has spent the season on loan at Marseille, will almost certainly leave Man Utd this summer with the Ivorian only playing in 20 Premier League matches in the previous three campaigns for the Red Devils.

Bailly has been plagued with injury during his career with the 29-year-old only making 209 appearances in his ten seasons of professional football.

And now ABC Sevilla claims that Man Utd are ready to help 'facilitate the departure' of Bailly - who joined the Red Devils in 2016 - and allow him to leave 'almost free of charge'.

La Liga side Real Betis consider the potential transfer of Bailly as a 'market opportunity' for them as he only has one year remaining on his deal at Old Trafford.

Betis have 'positioned' themselves towards the front of the queue for the former Villarreal defender with the Spanish outfit 'keen' to sign him after Ten Hag made the centre-back 'transferable'.

At the end of April, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Marseille would not be triggering the buy option inserted into Bailly's loan contract at the French club.

"Understand Olympique Marseille will not trigger the buy option to sign Eric Bailly on permanent deal - he will return to Manchester United," Romano wrote on his Twitter account.

"Been told Bailly will be available on the market as Man United are prepared to let him go."

Tony Cascarino reckons Maguire will join Bailly out of the door at Man Utd with the England international "better than anyone Tottenham have got".

"There will be clubs after Harry [Maguire]," Cascarino told talkSPORT.

"Would you say that he would do Tottenham any harm? I think he's way better than anyone Tottenham have got.

"What do you do, you get a quick centre-half alongside him. You want someone with pace and Harry I think would do an admirable job.

"He's a decent player and he's gone through a bad time and there's lots of players who have this experience in their career. Who is going to excite him and reignite his career? Would it be Spurs?

"Now, some Spurs fans might not want a [Manchester] United reject. Harry's an England international with a lot of experience and has done very well."
