I tried new Nottinghamshire pizza restaurant that's turning heads

The menu at Pizza Triangle

A new pizza restaurant near Netherfield is turning heads, with people who aren't aware of it walking by and then looking back. Community reporter Keimae Blake put the new place to the test where the food is handmade and delicious, as she reports.

Writing down the name of a new restaurant in your notes app on your phone or making a mental note of it is something I do often.

Whilst sat down at the new Pizza Triangle restaurant on Morado Way - next to the new Rivendell housing estate, near Netherfield - many people peered into the restaurant and looked at the menu presented outside.

The new - air conditioned, may I add - restaurant specialises in authentic Neapolitan pizzas baked in a wood-fire oven.

Located next to Birds Bakery at the new Teal Park trade park, Pizza Triangle is perfect for a meal out with family. On arrival at the restaurant, I was surprised to see just one member of staff working.

With a relaxed and retro feel to the restaurant, the menu didn't disappoint me at all.

As the sun remains more consistent, going out for pizza and a pint or chucking one in the oven is what many may do instead of cooking. Looking at the menu, I didn't want to settle for my usual pepperoni or meat fast pizza.

Instead I went for a £13.90 Calabrese pizza which comes with homemade tomato sauce with fior di latte mozzarella, spicy salami and spicy nduja spreadable sausage from Calabria, with fresh rocket leaves. It's described as 'one for spicy meat lovers' but I didn't think it was spicy. It was, however, delicious.

In hardly no time, my pizza was placed in front of me. With a crust it was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside; the Calabrese is everything you want in a pizza.

With springy mozzarella and nduja that gave the pizza a bit of kick, there was a slightly smoky flavour to this which was delicious. Of course a pizza isn't a pizza without the tomato sauce and Pizza Triangle's homemade tomato sauce has a unique taste.

The presentation of the pizza was fantastic and, among all the many options you can choose from at Pizza Triangle, I think I made the right choice.

Washing the pizza down with a Coke, I give Pizza Triangle 10/10 and I hope all those that were peering in give it a visit soon!
