Mykhailo Mudryk put in an outstanding shift for Ukraine in what is bound to leave many Chelsea fans questioning where this performance came from.
The Ukrainian winger has been nothing short of an absolute disaster since signing for Chelsea in a controversial move that saw the Blues hijack Arsenal's deal for the then-Shakhtar Donetsk winger. Since his January transfer - which could rise to a fee as high as ?100 million - he has struggled to have any kind of impact at Stamford Bridge.
He did not manage a single goal for Chelsea in the second half of the season, only contributing with two measly assists. He also made headlines off the pitch when he made fun of a gymgoer on his Instagram account for which he was later called out by a fitness influencer.
His latest performance for Ukraine, however, is sure to raise some eyebrows. With his team 2-1 down, Mudryk put on the afterburners, beating three players with a skill move before delivering a cross with his weaker foot which culminated in a goal. He then delivered a looping cross into the box, setting up the winner as Ukraine beat ten-man North Macedonia.
Chelsea fans were, naturally, left perplexed by this performance - but also excited.
