Caleb Milligan has caused total chaos in Emmerdale throughout 2023 so far, making an enemy of pretty much every villager.
His scheming ways caught up to him on June 15's episode of the hit ITV soap.
After a tense showdown in The Woolpack pub, one of many suspects lost it with Caleb and pushed him off a ridge, leaving him for dead.
As viewers await Caleb's fate, you may be wondering what the character's back story is, and about the actor who plays him - plus when he first appeared on TV screens?
If you're playing catch-up, here's all you need to know about Caleb.
Caleb Milligan is the brother of Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), as well as the son of Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter).
He's a smooth-talking businessman who used his connections to help Cain and Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) avoid prison by putting an expert team of lawyers on the case.
Upon arriving to the village, Caleb set his sights on doing business with Kim Tate (Claire King) on Home Farm - revealing an expertise in horses. He also took a great deal of pleasure in winding up Kim's husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) on the side.
Of course, there had to be a big twist. and it was soon revealed that Caleb was plotting against Kim in a bid to steal her fortune and destroy Home Farm - even roping in his own son Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope).
But why?
Well, he's the secret son of Frank Tate (Normal Bowler), Kim's ex-husband, who famously died of a heart attack in which Kim played a role. which was revealed in shock scenes back in April 2023.
Caleb's plot, however, fell apart in truly spectacular fashion in scenes airing in June 2023.
In 1991, he came to track his family down and found Cain, who was living with his younger sister Chas after they escaped from the bullying Shadrach.
Because, to Cain, Faith was at that point 'dead to him' after leaving her children with Shadrach, Cain told Caleb that she was actually dead, something that Caleb believed right up until his appearance in the village last year.
After initially getting on well, the brothers parted again after Caleb stole a car after Cain changed his mind about letting him meet Chas, who was by then pregnant with Aaron.
Cain took the fall for the car theft and didn't see Caleb again until 2022.
