Just when it looked like Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios have buried the hatched following their heated 2022 Wimbledon clash, the release of the second part of the Netflix Break Point documentary is set to bring their feud back into the spotlight.

The pair were involved in a stormy third-round clash at Wimbledon last year with Tsitsipas calling Kyrgios "evil" and "a bully" during his post-match press conference.

Tempers nearly boiled mid-match over when Kyrgios demanded that his opponent be defaulted after the Greek hit swatted a ball into the crowd, but there was no disqualification forthcoming. Tsitsipas, though, was fined after the match while the Australian himself was also penalised with a fine for swearing during the encounter.

Kyrgios himself rejected accusations that he is a bully saying: "I'm not sure how I bullied him. He was the one hitting balls at me, he was the one that hit a spectator, he was the one that smacked it out of the stadium.

"I just don't understand what I did. Like I did nothing towards him. I didn't think I was aggressive towards him."

The duo continued to take pot shots at each other over the next few months, but they then played doubles together during an exhibition tournament in Saudi Arabia in December and everyone thought they had moved on.

However, part two of the Netflix docuseries Break Point is set to be released next week and Tsitsipas didn't hold back in his criticism of Kyrgios when asked about the incident.

"He has brought that NBA basketball attitude to tennis," he said. "I would describe it as an uneducated approach of playing tennis. But you know tennis is a gentleman's sport, it's all about respect. We are not playing basketball. I feel he was trying to destroy my rhythm. He kept putting his towel in my box.

"There was zero respect coming out of my opponent that day. He kept pressing my buttons none stop - and of course I got annoyed. He just loves attention. And if he gets none of that, it is complete destruction."

Kyrgios, of course, won the match in four sets and he went on to reach the final at Wimbledon, finishing runner-up to Novak Djokovic.

The Australian is the focal point of the Episode Six, titled "Belonging", and he admitted during his journey at the All England Club he wanted to "shut everyone up" and give "a middle finger to everyone".

"I'm not gonna conform to a bunch of old rules," he said during Break Point. "I don't care who you are or what you are. Because I know I'm not really accepted. I'm just hungry now. I'm channelling it.

"If I win Wimbledon, it's like a middle finger to everyone.

"I'm here to show that I'm one of the best players in the world. They say: 'He can beat anybody, but he can't really be consistent enough to push for a Grand Slam.' I just want to shut everyone up."
