This week's AEW Dynamite was a big show for a number of reasons. Not only is there now just one more episode before what is shaping up to be a massive Forbidden Door, but it was the final show before Collision debuts this weekend. Despite all of that, one of the biggest talking points coming out of it among fans on social media was a weird message that briefly appeared on-screen.
The message appeared during the trios match that pitted Sting, Darby Allin, and Orange Cassidy against The Mogul Embassy. The word NO briefly flashed up on the screen in big black letters, translucent so don't feel bad if you missed it. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp has since confirmed the message appeared on all Dynamite broadcasts, confirming it wasn't an issue with a particular network or something only fans watching live on Fite could see. As for why it appeared or what it means remains a mystery. It might be teasing something, or it could simply be a mistake by someone working in AEW.
Just to make things a little more mysterious and interesting, this isn't the first time this has happened. Earlier this year, during the opening segment that set up Double or Nothing's Four Pillars match, the words yes and no quickly popped up on the screen one after the other. The words were on-screen for far less time on that occasion, hence fewer fans noticing.
Now it has happened again, that moment has been revisited and fans are trying to connect the dots. Right now, the only dot there seems to be is Allin. The only wrestler who was in both segments at the time the words flashed on the screen. Whether AEW is trying to tease something, if Allin is involved somehow, or if it was just some weird technical issue, fans will be watching closely to see if it happens again.
