The full spectrum of locally-made cuisine will enjoy its time in the limelight this month, with the return of an annual food and drink festival.

Street food vendors, independent bakers, micro-brewers and local producers and craft-makers are all lined up for Taste of Sudbury, taking place on Saturday, June 17.

For the second year in a row, the event is being held outside of Sudbury, following its successful showing at Melford Hall in 2022.

This year, the host venue will be the grounds of Kentwell Hall, where the occasion will run from 10am to 5pm.

Alongside hundreds of food and drink stalls, the popular kitchen demonstration stage also returns, with masterclasses for the likes of Woosters Bakery and Lavenham Butchers, as well as head chefs at numerous local restaurants.

In addition, there will be a family activity area, which includes free clay-making activities run by Pot Kiln Pottery, while music is being provided by DJ Bedford 45.

The festival is organised by Suffolk Market Events, with sponsorship support from County Broadband, Holmes & Hills Solicitors, Spectre Leisure, Paul Clark Printing and David Burr estate agents.

Alex Paul, of Suffolk Market Events, which organises Taste of Sudbury, said: "The festival is delighted to be located in the grounds of Kentwell Hall.

"Against the backdrop of the stunning Tudor mansion, this is the perfect location for all the wonderful tastes and smells at this one-day festival.

"Supporting local producers and celebrating local food and drink has been the core focus and theme of the festival for several years.

"It is so important, and indicative of the success of the festival, that we have several local businesses that support the festival and ensure its sustainability."

Tickets to the event are priced at £5 for adults, with children aged 17 and under admitted for free.
