Atlus released the first Nyahoo News video sharing new gameplay, story, and character information about the upcoming Persona 5 Tactica, the latest SRPG spin-off game in the series. The video shared information about the setting, new playable character and leader of the Revolutionary Army Elle, and the gameplay system.

At the start of Persona 5 Tactica, the Phantom Thieves are gathered at the Leblanc Café when the café itself is transported to a Metaverse location similar to a Palace or Mementos. There they meet Elle, the leader of a Revolutionary Army that is fighting back against Shadow-like creatures.

While the game is a strategic-RPG, its gameplay will be somewhat closer to games like modern XCOM entries or the Mario + Rabbids series. Players will control a team of 3 characters and can use melee, ranged, or Persona Skills on their foes.

When enemies are surrounded in a triangle formation by the team, the new Triple Threat attack known as the Tribangle attack in Japanese will be available. It plays out similarly to All-Out Attacks in the main series.

The first Nyahoo News video also revealed that Person 5 Tactica will have a DLC expansion episode titled Repaint Your Heart and shared key art of it with Joker's Persona Arsene appearing wounded by a mysterious creature. Orpheus Picaro and Izanagi Picaro will be included as pre-order bonus Personas as well.

Persona 5 Tactica will come out for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC on November 17, 2023. The game was officially announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023, and it might appear on other platforms as well.
