Richmond premiership hero Marlion Pickett has been charged with burglary offences in Western Australia.

The 31-year-old was arrested after the Tigers stirring 15-point win over Fremantle at Optus Stadium on Saturday night.

The Sporting News has all the latest details on Pickett's alleged offences.

Pickett has been charged with four counts of aggravated burglary by Western Australia police.

Other charges include three counts of stealing and three counts of criminal damage.

The offences allegedly occurred between December 2022 and January 2023, according to Richmond.

Pickett, who stayed back in his home town of Perth after the Tigers win, has been remanded in custody.

He will face Perth Magistrates Court on Monday for a bail hearing.

Statement from Richmond Football Club on Marlion Pickett's arrest:

"The alleged offences occurred in December 2022 and January 2023," the statement said.

"The club will continue to support Marlion and his family while these matters are dealt with.

"As this matter is now before the courts, the club will not be making any further comment."

After building his football career in the WAFL with South Fremantle, Pickett was drafted by Richmond with pick 13 in the 2019 mid-season rookie draft.

Pickett bided his time with Richmond's VFL team, performing impressively and being an emergency for the senior team on three occasions.

After winning the VFL premiership with Richmond, Pickett was subsequently selected for his AFL debut in the Tigers' AFL Grand Final against GWS.

He finished 3rd in the Norm Smith Medal voting, and kicked a goal, as Richmond won the flag with a 89-point victory.

In just his 20th AFL game the following season, Pickett won another premiership with Richmond as they defeated Geelong in the 2020 COVID-affected season.

Pickett has played 70 games of AFL with the latest coming on Saturday night against Fremantle.

His current contract expires at the end of the season.
