Police trying to find out identity of pedestrian killed in Roseville

Police at the scene of a crash in Roseville that left a woman dead on Sunday morning.

Police are trying to work out the identity of a woman fatally struck by a car while out walking in Sydney's north shore on Sunday morning.

The woman, believed to be aged in her 70s, was hit by a Mitsubishi wagon on the corner of Boundary Street and Wandella Avenue at Roseville, about 7am.

Emergency services attended the scene of the crash and found the woman with critical injuries. She died at the scene.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a man aged in his 50s, was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Police said they were still trying to work out the woman's identity. They have established a crime scene.

Boundary Street at Roseville remains closed to traffic between Ferncourt Avenue and Archer Street.
