Highly anticipated Metroidvania title Blasphemous 2 will make its way to consoles and PC this summer.
Announced yesterday, the game will be released on August 24 via PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. A release date announcement trailer can be seen below.
A synopsis for the game reads:
The Miracle has returned, the birth of a prophetic new miracle child has been foretold, and it once again falls to The Penitent One to explore a strange world, defeat grotesque monstrosities, and give everything to stop the prophecy from coming to pass. Featuring three unique weapons to acquire and master, and an enhanced skillset to choose from, players will have to use these new tools to survive long enough to deliver judgment to all who stand in their way. As they make their way towards the inevitable final confrontation, they'll pick up pieces of scattered lore, and unpick long forgotten secrets of a new and punishing world as they cheat death time and time again.
