Jane McDonald has signed up to appear on 'Celebrity Gogglebox' with her best friend.
The 60-year-old star - who was in a relationship with The Searchers drummer Eddie Rothe for 13 years before he died of lung cancer in March 2021 - asked her close friend and backing singer Sue Ravey to move in with her last year and took to social media on Thursday (08.06.23) to reveal that they will be watching TV together on the celebrity version of the Channel 4 reality show.
She tweeted: "I'm going to be appearing on 'Celebrity Gogglebox' with my best friend Sue - it's going to be an absolute blast! We've shared some unforgettable moments over the years but I am really looking forward to spending time together on this wonderful show."
The 'You're My World' songstress - who shot to fame when she took part in the 1990s BBC docusoap 'The Cruise' and went onto become a daytime favourite when she appeared as a panellist on ITV's 'Loose Women' for almost a decade before hosting a slew of travel programmes for Channel 5 - previously explained that it was a "no-brainer" for herself and Sue to move in together because of how long they have been friends.
Speaking during a guest appearance on 'Loose Women' in 2022, she said: "Sue has moved in with me, thank God, because she's a really good cook and she's really tidy.
"It was a no-brainer for me and Sue because Sue and I have been friends for 30 years now. We've got the same humour, we like the same food. I have a house, she had a house. We don't really have cross words. We both like our own space, and a lot of people thought we were a couple. There's nothing wrong with that, but we're not together together. I love her, but not that much!"
