Money Diary: A Freelance Drama Facilitator On 14.5k

8.30am: Drop my daughter, R, to nursery as I'm doing an office day today. We were away all weekend so I didn't have time to do a food shop and there is nothing in the house. I use this as an excuse to get a coffee and a pastry on my way into work, £5.60.1pm: Lunch with my colleagues. Our boss very generously brings lunch for us most days. Today we feast on baked potatoes with beans and cheese with salad. 5.30pm: Pick up R from nursery and then get my boyfriend, G, from work. We head to Asda and do the weekly shop. The supermarket we choose for our big shop varies depending on how flush we are feeling. Asda is a middle-ground supermarket so we need to be slightly conservative with what we get. When we do an Aldi shop, we can get more fun stuff. The aim of the game is always to keep it under £50. This time we don't quite manage it, £53.37.7pm: After a super quick bedtime routine for R, G and I have halloumi fajitas. While he cooks, I go on Sporcle, which is a website filled with quizzes (this is my favourite way to waste time). 8pm: We then watch Hunted (fine) and Succession (incredible). 9.45pm: In bed by 10pm!Total: £58.97
