A former X-Factor contestant has been charged with murder following the death of a baby in the New South Wales central west.
Mitchell Callaway was arrested in Bowraville this morning in relation to the death of a nine-month-old girl who was found unresponsive when emergency services were called to a home in Binnaway near Coonabarabran in 2018.?
The baby was taken to ?Coonabarabran Hospital where staff tried to save her but she died a short time later.

Strike Force King was established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the baby's death and executed a search warrant at a Binnaway home on May 31 after receiving new information.
Callaway was taken to Macksville Police Station and charged with murder.
He has been refused bail.
He is expected to appear at Macksville Local Court later today.
