Swifties are sighing a collective deep breath because their Taylor has stopped dating Matty Healy.
TMZ was the first to break the news with a giant capitalised headline reading, "IT'S OVER". People Magazine immediately followed with a 'source' giving them a 'statement' on the split:
"She had fun with him, but it was always casual. They are no longer romantically involved."
Fans of Taylor Swift know all too well that they won't be seeing a statement from the singer herself - but instead are likely to get some Easter Eggs and hidden clues in an upcoming album that speak to this alleged relationship.

But for those looking for a catch-up on the Swift-Healy romance, here's what you need to know.
Before we dive into that, we must remind you that in March 2016, during an interview, Matty Healy described the idea of dating Taylor Swift as a "de-masculinating, emasculating thing".
...Which is awkward. Because for the last couple month the world has been SURE that they are dating.
The original rumour came from Deuxmoi, as well as a series of tabloid reports.
Sources told the ever-reliable publication The Sun that Swift and Healy were "madly in love", even though they'd been together for less than two months.
"It's super-early days, but it feels right," the source said. "They first dated, very briefly, almost 10 years ago but timings just didn't work out."
That's what Healy had been responding to in the 2016 interview - the 'flirtation' he'd previously had with Swift that hadn't progressed to anything more serious.
The Sun report also claimed that Swift and Alwyn's breakup actually occurred in February, and there was no crossover between Alwyn and Healy.
Yes! A number of times!
They've been spotted at each other's concerts (as both of them are touring right now), and 'sneaking' into each other's apartment buildings and hotels.
...Not explicitly. It's been fairly quiet from both camps, but Swifties were hanging off one quote Taylor shared on stage of her Eras tour.
During a performance of 'Cardigan', Swift looked straight down the barrel of the camera and mouthed: "This is about you, you know who you are. I love you."
Why is this relevant? Well, because Matty Healy mouthed the exact same thing the week before during his concert in the Philippines.
This handy TikTok explains it all for you if you're feeling a little lost:
So it's semi-confirmed they were together and semi-confirmed they are now not.
Gotta love that celebrity relationship news cycle!
