WWE has announced a new deal with Twitch along with a batch of exciting new programming.
The company has unveiled its partnership with the live streaming platform which marks the return of the sports entertainment giant's official channel alongside channels for their big stars with live and exclusive content.
As part of the deal, WWE is also debuting a new 'companion sidecast' alongside tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw.
In a press release, the wrestling juggernaut promises to bring 'the WWE Universe behind the scenes and closer to the in-ring action'.
The show will feature different hosts and appearances from WWE's biggest names, as well as 'exclusive content'.
They added: 'The weekly viewing experience will be led by a rotating cast of hosts and will regularly feature appearances by WWE Superstars, unique and exclusive content such as backstage interviews, and more.'
There will also be 'other live productions' finding their home on the official WWE channel, while it will also 'serve as an alternate live streaming feed for all of WWE's premium live event press conferences'.
It marks an exciting turnaround after the company axed various third party deals and platforms for its stars towards the end of 2020.
This led to several people feeling disgruntled with opportunities taken off the table, but a year ago talent were reportedly told that they would be able to return to such platforms.
However, it's said a deal with Twitch took longer to figure out, while Fightful Select said last month that WWE stars would be back on Twitch with 'almost no restrictions'.
It's been reported that revenue will be split three ways with Twitch and the talent themselves taking the vast majority of that, with WWE's own cut apparently in the single digits.
Viewers can stream the WWE Raw sidecast live every Monday beginning at 8 p.m. ET via https://twitch.tv/wwe or the Twitch App.
