The Coolest Supers In SF6

Street Fighter 6 is an absolute treat for the eyes. The game adopts a more realistic visual style compared to prior games in the series, yet remains true to the series' cartoony roots by bursting with personality left and right. Each of these fighters are a joy to watch duke it out in battle, and nowhere is their animation put on a better display than during their Super Arts.

In the game, every character has a handful of Super Art attacks, some costing more meter than others. The Critical Arts, the most expensive supers, are the most cinematic, shifting from gameplay to a brief cutscene that showcases the fighters beautifully, while never overstaying their welcome. There are plenty of great Super Arts in Street Fighter 6, and these are the best of the bunch.

As a giant, Russian wrestler, it's no secret that Zangief is one to put on a show. Zangief's signature pile driver is already quite a flashy move, but his critical art, Bolshoi Storm Buster, ups the ante even further.

After drilling his opponent to the ground, Zangief steps away for a moment to let them get back up, only to kick them while they're down, and put them in an even more dramatic version of his pile driver. If the pro-wrestling aesthetic wasn't enough to make your jaw drop, the sheer amount of damage this attack does will, as it decimates the opponent's health bar as the biggest fighter in the game absolutely should.

As one of the most stone-cold fighters in the series, Cammy's critical art is as brutal as they come. Starting off with a long-range Spiral Arrow, she leaves the other fighter stunned, following up with three strikes so quick you won't even be able to see her.

As the other fighter is collapsing to the ground with Cammy's back against them, she delivers one final swoop, kicking them across the neck. Her lightning-fast strikes along with the devastating finishing blow make this an excellent super for the killer bee.

Ryu's Shin Shoryuken is a classic in the Street Fighter series, and while it was demoted to an EX special move in Street Fighter 5, it makes its grand return as Ryu's critical art in Street Fighter 6. As always, this attack consists of three strikes, gradually increasing the intensity, though it's a little different in Street Fighter 6.

After the initial strike to the gut, Ryu steps back to charge his fist, allowing for the final two hits to be even more climactic than ever. Ryu's Shin Shoryuken is always a sight to behold, and this version of it may just be the best one yet.

It's no secret that Juri, more than any other Street Fighter, loves to toy with her opponents, and her Critical Art, Kaizen Dankai Raku, showcases this trait of her excellently. This super starts with a series of attacks in which Juri launches her opponent up to the sky, quickly jumping up to chase them, only to slam them back down to the ground.

If that wasn't enough, once she drops back down to the ground she catches them with her foot, holds them by the head, and then slams them into the dirt for good measure. This super has Juri's attitude written all over it, and captures her obsession with tormenting others perfectly

Dee Jay is one of the most upbeat fighters in the series, always rocking a giant smile that goes from cheek to cheek, and his super exemplifies his personality. While many supers in Street Fighter 6 consist of a few brutal strikes, Dee Jay takes it up a notch and just pummels the hell out of his opponent.

Starting off with a little dance, he then launches his opponent up in the air, and once they fall back down, they are greeted to a barrage of punches from Dee Jay, only to be launched again and pummeled again. He finishes the attack off with one big punch, then strikes a pose to send them off. This is easily one of the most fun supers in the whole game, and matches Dee Jay's cheery personality one-to-one.

Kimberly's signature fighting tool is her spray paint, making an appearance in many of her special moves, though nowhere is more prevalent than during her critical art. After turning on her cassette player, Kimberly launches her opponent into the air and throws a bunch of spray paint cans along with them.

She then proceeds to absolutely cover her opponent in spray paint by bombarding her opponent with paint attacks. After a handful of these smaller strikes, she sends them to the ground and fires one last shot of spray paint.

If this super wasn't already flashy enough, Kimberly gets a gameplay buff after turning on her music, making her move faster and attack harder, showing that listening to your favorite music makes you a better fighter.

Jamie's critical art is by far one of the most dramatic in the whole game. After sweeping his opponent's legs and waiting for them to get up, they both engage in a standoff. Jamie waits for the opponent to attack, counters back, and dishes out a handful of brutal attacks.

While each of these strikes from Jamie are hard-hitting in their own way, the one where he flicks their throat is especially gruesome, finishing the job with a few attacks after. The little pauses in between really add to the dramatic effect this super has, and make this one of the most entertaining supers in the game.

It's only fitting that the most graceful fighter in the game has a comically elegant super, and Manon's critical art is as refined as they come. It starts by Manon grabbing her opponent by the wrist, and follows up with her and her opponent doing a variety of dances together.

After the two have their fun dancing to the music, Manon finishes the job by grabbing the opponent once more and crashing into the ground with them. This super is an absolute spectacle, and on top of being fun to watch, the music adds a layer of comedy to it that few other supers can say they have. Manon's beautiful super captures her attitude wonderfully and is a treat to watch every time, which is exactly what the perfect fighting game super should aim to accomplish.
