Celebration was in the air at Rose Lodge in Wisbech where residents and staff enjoyed an afternoon in the garden with entertainment and a barbecue to celebrate staff long service.
Jo Kierman, kitchen assistant and Su O Riordan, admin assistant were both truly surprised with gifts, service badges and vouchers from Barchester Healthcare, the company that owns the home for their 10 years of service.
There were also lots of well wishes from their colleagues and residents.
Entertainers KJ and the Catt provided musical entertainment for everyone as well as a barbecue and raffle.
Meg Jones, general manager at Rose Lodge said: "We've all had such a brilliant time celebrating Jo and Su's commitment to their respective roles at the home and we value our staff that work so tirelessly every day. It was so lovely to be able to invite our friends and family to come and join us for a proper celebration too."
Su and Jo were both surprised but enjoyed their afternoon with both of them saying how much they loved working at Rose Lodge and felt special to be celebrated.
Jane Ritchie, the homes activities co-ordinator, said: "Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities and they all loved the afternoon."
