MLB Fans Demanding Rule Change After Wild Aaron Judge Play

Aaron Judge made one of the craziest catches of the 2023 MLB regular season on Saturday night.

The New York Yankees star outfielder crashed into the wall in right field in Dodger Stadium to rob J.D. Martinez of extra bases, and take away a run from Los Angeles.

But since Judge crashed into the right field wall, technically going outside the ballpark, the runner on first base was awarded an extra base.

MLB fans can't believe that's the rule. Why should Judge and the Yankees be blamed for how Dodger Stadium's walls were constructed?

The rule should change.

"This may be one of the stupidest calls ever in Yankee game," one fan wrote.

"Judge makes catch, crashing into wall, knocking door open, causing him to step off field, runner on first awarded second because Judge left field. Makes no sense."

It is a truly ridiculous play - and rule.

MLB fans want the rule to change.

"Agree it's insane to enforce that rule there. Not his fault fence opened," one fna wrote.

"That makes no sense. So if a guy flips into the dugout on a pop foul catch that should hold true???" one fan added.

"Why doesn't this happen when players fall into the stands/dugouts on foul ball catches?" another fan wondered.

Do better, MLB.
