A Pennsylvania nurse is accused of killing two patients and injuring a third by administering lethal doses of insulin.

Heather Pressdee, 40, is facing multiple charges, including two counts of homicide and one count of attempted murder.

Pressdee killed two patients "when they received overdoses of insulin that caused medical emergencies" in Dec. 2022, according to a press release. A third patient was hospitalized in Aug. 2022 after he was "administered a potentially-lethal dose of insulin."

Prosecutors say two of the three victims were not diabetic. All three patients were under Pressdee's care at Quality Life Services, where she worked as a registered nurse.

According to a criminal complaint, Pressdee told authorities she injected the surviving victim with insulin when "he asked her to 'kill him'" while in COVID isolation. She claimed she injected the now-deceased victims because she "felt bad for them and their quality of life."

Pressdee was charged May 24 with two counts of homicide, a count of attempted murder, a count of aggravated assault, three counts of neglect of a care-dependent person, and three counts of reckless endangerment. She is currently being held without bail, according to a press release.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle A. Henry said the investigation is ongoing, and "anyone with concerns about care their loved one received involving Pressdee is urged to contact the tipline at 888-538-8541."
