Mouch actor, Christian Stolte, may have spoiled the Chicago Fire season 11 finale cliffhanger. It's an understatement to say Firehouse 51 had a tough year. Unfortunately, before Chicago Fire season 11 ended, Chief Boden's squad was again presented with a new challenge after Mouch was shot during a call.
Despite initially surviving, the Chicago Fire season 11 finale leaves Mouch fighting for his life after bleeding again, and Stolte may have revealed his character's fate ahead of the show's return. Check out his Instagram post below:

Stolte's caption worries viewers about Mouch's condition because he makes it sound like he's saying goodbye to One Chicago. Many followers commented on the post, expressing concerns and love for the veteran Firehouse 51 firefighter.
Chicago Fire is already confirmed to return for season 12. Whether it sticks to its regular fall season premiere is uncertain because of the ongoing Writers Guild Strike of 2023. If the show gets delayed, then it means that viewers will have to wait a little bit before learning what happens to Mouch, not to mention Brett's answer to Casey's surprising proposal.

In the closing moments of the Chicago Fire season 11 finale, Mouch gets into Chicago Med right in time and is even put into a private room to recuperate. However, the first-responder series has had a couple of unexpected Firehouse 51 deaths, so just because Mouch initially survives doesn't guarantee he will get past his predicament. In any case, NBC definitely wants viewers to be on edge about him throughout this hiatus.
Losing Mouch will be a big blow to Chicago Fire. As the most veteran member of Firehouse 51, he has ruminated about retiring so many times in the past, but despite his age, he remains a pivotal member of Chief Boden's squad. Hopefully, if One Chicago is writing him out, he can have a happy exit instead of a tragic one.
