Now AEW Fight Forever's release date has been confirmed to be less than a month away, information about the promotion's debut game has been coming at us thick and fast. That includes a reveal as to what eager wrestling gamers will get if they pre-order the game. The chance to play as Matt Hardy on day one, and also the chance to play as Broken Matt Hardy on day one.
The pre-order bonus reveal was made via a vignette posted to the AEW Games Twitter account. "You can now pre-order AEW: Fight Forever! As a pre-order bonus you will get the chance to play as Matt Hardy... or Matt Hardy," AEW Games tweeted. You can pre-order the game through most digital storefronts now as it will launch across all current and last-gen consoles as well as PC.

In the new trailer, Hardy is shown playing Fight Forever against himself. Something that doesn't really look out of the ordinary when you consider the history of his Broken persona. Both versions of Hardy in-game are shown in the video below, although it's unclear whether they will have entirely different move sets too.
AEW has been gradually revealing who will be on the Fight Forever roster ever since its June 29 release date was confirmed. So far none of the video reveals have been all that surprising as the likes of Eddie Kingston and The Young Bucks have been shown off. All examples of stars fans would have expected to make the final roster, even though the game likely won't include everyone under AEW's employ right now.
Also confirmed to be in the game as copies find their way out into the wild are Brodie Lee and CM Punk. Lee passed away in 2020, but development of the game began while he was still alive so it was always likely he would be a part of the project. Punk's inclusion was also somewhat expected. Even though he was previously removed from Fight Forever's cover, it was confirmed last night on Dynamite that Punk will be back for Collision's debut on June 17.
