Over the weekend following the Apex Legends professional Oversight Circuit, the popular team known as LANimals disbanded. An orgless team consisting of Trenton "lou" Clements, Mac "Albralelie" Beckwith and Paris "StayNaughty" Gouzoulis, they placed 14th in the recent ALGS 2023 Pro League Split 2. Their breakup comes after losing three POI contests in Oversight against NickMercs and his team, Tripods and being the focus of Apex Legends Reddit and Twitter.

Despite the clips and reactions from the Oversight drama that resulted from the 3-0 loss against NickMercs and the Tripods, the issues with LANimals goes deeper than one bad tournament. All three players have posted their own Looking For Team messages on Twitter and both Albralelie and Lou have opened up on their streams about the situations.

In part of Albralelie's explanation on his Twitch stream, he explains that he woke up to a message from Lou wanting to leave the team. When he reached out to Naughty about what they wanted to do, he said he was just going to Look For Team.

The breakup seems to have been a surprise to Naughty as well as he was in the middle of a Twitch stream and ended it early upon receiving the news of Lou departing.

In his own stream, while talking about the situation, Lou explained his reasons for leaving the team and it all came down to how well they worked together. According to Lou, he was looking for more and despite admitting that his teammates were amazing players, they just weren't working out together.

"I told them straight, this is what I need, I need you guys to put more time in with me in customs and you need to put in more time in the game in general. If we do that then we can make it to Pro League, but if we don't then we aren't making it to LAN," Lou said on stream.

LANimals ended up in 14th place in the Pro League, missing their qualification for LAN. Along with a slew of other moments in Oversight, it was only a matter of time before one of the players realized this team wouldn't work out.

All three players have put out Tweets looking for another team for the ALGS, but the fallout of this breakup has had varying effects on the players.

Each of them has mentioned they hold no ill will toward one another and still have tremendous respect for each other as players and for the time they spent as a team.

In an emotional Twitch stream, Albralelie explains his perspective on the breakup. "Saying I'm angry is the right thing to say, but I'm not angry at them. Does that make sense? I'm angry at how things turned out."

He urges his viewers now to speak ill of either of his former teammates and goes on to lament the decisions he's made that have led him to this point in his career. In another clip, he also implies that he may consider retirement if he can't get picked up by an established team in the ALGS.

As for Naughty, he's posted on Twitter that he's taking some time to get away from everything but plans to be back stronger than ever.
