Leicester City supporters are urging the club to push the boat out in order to keep Kelechi Iheanacho next season.

The striker has received a groundswell of support from the Blue Army after he looked visibly upset in a 'heartbreaking' video interview following the club's relegation on Sunday. Iheanacho spoke about how low and disappointed he felt, while promising that the team will do everything to bounce back.

There were small hints that Iheanacho could be staying at Leicester next season, given the way he spoke about the future. While it was not clear, supporters are reading into it and are pleading with the club to keep the former Manchester City man around. Below is a look at what some of them have been saying.

@JonMejia96 : The pain in his voices speaks volumes man. What a heartbreaking day it was, but let's make it a real short visit to that side and comeback to the Prem where we belong

@Lcfc_T2000 : He looks genuinely devastated. Genuinely very hard to watch.

@bjblyth : Kel's leading the fight back. Pass it on.

@_jamiepotter : he's speaking as if he's gonna stay, if he does that's huge for us

@SweeneySean_ : I think we stand a chance of keeping him. Let him go on a free next summer if we have to.

@StanleyC128 : Do whatever you can to keep this man next season.

@danrees92 : He's broken, he cares. I'd love nothing more for him and Vardy to be leading the front line next season.

@THLCFC : He looks broken. Him and Vardy love this club and it's really affecting them

@DaveLester85 : It's a big ask but I'd love him to stay, genuinely one of the only ones I'll be gutted to see go

@JackJ_ : This is heartbreaking. He's one of very few who actually cared. And considering he's been consistently benched despite being our best striker, he never let his head drop. Always gives 100% for the club. If we can keep him, he'll carry us back up but he deserves better.

@IAmChrisCrane : Genuinely heartbroken for this man. Not often do you get to see the true nature of players, but Kels has always shown that he cares. Would love to keep him here, but I know that if he goes, another team is getting not only a brilliant player, but a brilliant man.
