It's been a hot minute since What So Not graced stages around the country but it's here and it's happening: he's unveiled a big Aussie comeback with his first headline tour in five years.

The Sydney producer is set to bring his new Anomaly: Live Mode show - in all its audio-visual beauty - to venues around the country later this year, supported by Naarm-based DJ, Prophecy Girl.

The Aussie shows are set to be an adaptation of the "Immersive Mode" show What So Not has been finessing over in the US recently and looks bloody unreal.

Pinned to be much more than a normal What So Not set, the new Live Mode show weaves together the 3D animations of his 2022 Anomaly album with his broad-ranging catalogue to create a stunning, immersive experience.

From what we've seen on his Instagram, there's wrap-around screens, an elaborate rig set up and sometimes a screen between himself and the audience. He's even toyed with fully projection-mapped visuals in the more immersive spaces, including purpose-built rave caves.

What So Not will be taking elements of all these different interpretations of the Anomaly show to create immersive spaces in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne across July and August.

"We'll be doing our damn best to put on a show like you've never seen in these rooms before. I'm amped beyond belief."

Tickets for all of What So Not's Anomaly: Live Mode shows are on sale from Wednesday 31 May at midday AEST - check out the tour page for more and peep the full dates and details below.
