The Royal Family have become recognised internationally as style icons, exhibiting both designer and high-street clothing at various events and engagements.
Members of the Firm regularly provide style inspiration and embrace fashion trends while conforming to royal protocol. However, the impact of fast fashion has not gone unnoticed by the royals with many fashion choices advocating sustainability.
King Charles III previously campaigned for the reuse and upcycling of garments, regularly repeating his wardrobe and being a champion of the Positive Fashion initiative, which promotes sustainability, alongside the British Fashion Council since its launch 2018.
Another royal who is recognised for promoting sustainability in fashion is Princess Kate. The Princess of Wales often wears ethically-made outfits and has earnt herself the nickname of "thrifty Kate" for her wardrobe repeats.
Princess Anne has also been praised for her timeless fashion and practical wardrobe choices. Fashion writer and personal stylist Virginia Chadwyck-Healey commended the Princess Royal's conscious choices, telling The Telegraph: "I love how Princess Anne's approach to wearing and re-wearing is now the new norm in the fashion world, Simple style goals that really stand the test of time."

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh is also known to regularly repeat outfits, styling wardrobe staples in different ways from her effortless wardrobe of bold floral dresses to neutral colours.Link
Queen Camilla's style is similar to that of the late Queen Elizabeth II with Rosie Harte, author of The Royal Wardrobe explaining: "Camilla has always played by the rules, usually wearing a coat dress and hat combo for daytime engagements."
However, she has subtle differences from Her Majesty: "Her coat dresses, for example, not only feature her signature mandarin collar but also some well-place darts that give her the waist definition that the late Queen avoided."
