Roxy Jacenko has admitted she's suffering from a very awkward medical condition.

The PR queen, 43, took to Instagram on Friday to reveal she had a case of head lice infestation which required treatment.

In the photo, Jacenko sat in a chair while a nurse treated her infested hair in order to remove the insects.

Also known as nits, head lice can cause itching of the scalp, while the insects themselves are sometimes visible in the hair.

In her caption, Roxy revealed that she had caught the 'nits' from one of her children.

'[O]h the joy of kids,' she wrote. '[Child] comes home catches nits - and then I get it'.

'Cue the big guns,' she added, referring to the nurse whom she had tending to her scalp.

The health bombshell comes after Roxy divided her fans after sharing a video of her eleven-year-old daughter Pixie getting an eyelash lift.

The mother-of-two shared a video to Instagram on Saturday of her daughter getting her eyelashes done at a Sydney salon and fans were quickly whipped into a frenzy.

'She is too young for this. What's next, Botox and lip fillers?' one fan sniped.

'You're using your platform to teach young girls to adhere to beauty standards?! Not buying your products ever,' another added.

However, others were quick to jump to the support of Roxy and Pixie and said they had the right to do whatever made them happy.

'I was getting this done too at her age. Some people need to get a life!' one supporter wrote, while another added Pixie was 'looking fabulous'.

Roxy explained in the comments that Pixie's red hair meant her natural eyelashes were barely visible so the procedure helped them stand out.

The petite entrepreneur, who is a millionaire in her own right, was treated to a new set of lash extensions this weekend, which can cost as much as $350.

Roxy shared a photo to Instagram Stories detailing the moment Pixie underwent the treatment.

'How the tables have turned. Now I am @pixiecurtis content creator too, at @fancylash today,' Roxy wrote in the caption.

'The downside of red hair means you look like you are lash-less I am told?!? Till now,' she added.

Pixie earned her fortune as the face of accessories range Pixie's Bows and toy brand Pixie's Pix - businesses set up by her mother.

She is already 'semi-retired' from her toy empire in order to focus on her education.

Roxy shares two children, Pixie and son Hunter, eight, with husband Oliver Curtis.
